Shop Helper/Apprentice

The shop helper/apprentice is a non-exempt (hourly) position that reports to the Team Leader. It is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn new skills like precision sanding, automotive and industrial type spray painting which will lead to higher hourly pay and other career opportunities as individual skills are developed. There are also lots of opportunities for voluntary overtime. This is the perfect position for a motivated person with a good attitude who is results-oriented, quality-conscious, and reliable. We offer a competitive starting wage commensurate with experience, paid holidays/ vacation, and a great benefits package, including medical and a 401k retirement savings plan. 

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, with experience using small hand or power tools, and are detail-oriented when completing assigned tasks.

Spray Painter

The painter is a non-exempt (hourly) position that reports to the Finishing Team Leader. It is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn new skills and make more money. There are also opportunities for overtime. The painter executes a daily production plan created by the supervisor based on the master open order schedule. It involves reading and following the documents that describe the operations required while assuring that all the parts comply with quality standards. It should be noted that employees are given the responsibility to read process documents and interpret whether all required operations have been performed per the defined process before performing their operation.

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator sets up and operates a production machine following established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent.

In addition, you are responsible for operating manufacturing equipment to produce custom products for our full range of clients. This includes set up, operation, and inspection of completed products.

Sander

The sander is a non-exempt (hourly) position that reports to the Sanding Team Leader. In this role, you will achieve throughput and quality goals by effectively using documentation, equipment, labor, and facilities devoted to the efficient automotive type sanding of molded products in preparation for painting. The sander executes a daily production plan created by the supervisor based on the master open order schedule. This role involves reading and following the documents that describe the operations required while assuring that all the parts comply with our quality standards. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn new skills and make more money. There are also opportunities for voluntary overtime.  

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of automotive (Auto Body Shop) type sanding experience preferable. They must have experience using small hand or power tools and be detail-oriented when completing assigned tasks. Candidates must be physically able and willing to stand for 75% of the shift to complete assigned sanding tasks.

Quality Assurance Manager

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you play a crucial role in front-line and in-process quality control, ensuring strict adherence to Customer Standards, ISO, SOP, and GMP. Your expertise in inspection tools, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) guides effective manufacturing practices.

You lead the implementation of quality assurance measures, addressing issues through RMAs, CAPA, and other ISO procedures. Managing the company’s ISO practices, you oversee verification of inbound materials, WIP, and outbound products, ensuring adherence to established quality checkpoints and actively amending processes for improvement.

Your responsibilities extend to educating the production team on quality control issues, collaborating with department managers, and conducting first article inspections. You address regulatory inquiries promptly, ensuring compliance throughout the process and approving finished products before shipment.

Your expert decision-making in Safety, Regulatory, and Quality challenges sets you apart, showcasing prioritization skills. You have a track record in collaborative development, documentation, planning, implementation, follow-up, and continuous improvement of quality systems, along with strong business partnering and relationship management skills.

Excellent communication skills, bilingual proficiency in Spanish, and expertise in computer software are expected. Minimum qualifications include problem-solving abilities, interpretation of instructions, understanding of industry quality expectations, ISO standards, and experience in injection molding.

ERP/Database Specialist

Exothermic Molding, Inc. is seeking a talented ERP Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system used by our company, with a primary focus on production scheduling, estimating, and performance analytics.  This is a good entry-level job for an engineer. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production scheduling through the ERP system to ensure on-time delivery of orders and efficient use of resources.

  • Create and maintain the operations database and process documents to reflect the true manufacturing operations and costs.

  • Ensure smooth operation of the ERP system, including maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

  • Provide accurate and timely cost estimates for new orders and change orders using the ERP system.

  • Develop and maintain reports to analyze key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the ERP system.

  • Train and support end-users on the ERP system and related processes.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest ERP technology trends and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in production scheduling and cost estimating.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems especially E2, is preferred.  Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus.

CNC Machinist/Mold Maker

Exothermic Molding, Inc. is in search of an exceptional CNC Machinist/Mold Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in producing precision parts for the medical, laboratory, and military industries.   • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
